Worship Director

Part-Time | Up to 20 hours/week

Are you passionate about leading others into the presence of God through music and worship? Do you have a heart for the local church and a desire to grow alongside a vibrant, grace-filled community? The Well United Methodist Church in Carl Junction is looking for a new Worship Leader to join our team!

Who We Are: The Well is a growing church made up of people from all walks of life who are learning to love, learn, and lead like Jesus. Our services are welcoming, Spirit-filled, and focused on authentic worship, practical teaching, and radical grace. We’re United Methodist in name but home to believers from many backgrounds.

The Role: The Worship Leader will collaborate with the pastor and worship team to create meaningful, Christ-centered worship experiences. This includes planning and leading music on Sunday mornings, rehearsing with the team, and helping to foster a culture of worship both on and off the stage.

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

· Loves Jesus and is growing in their personal walk with Him

· Is musically gifted and confident leading vocally and instrumentally (guitar or keyboard preferred)

· Has experience working with or building a worship team

· Is comfortable with contemporary worship styles and open to blending in hymns/tradition

· Communicates well, shows humility, and enjoys teamwork

· Wants to grow in leadership and invest in a healthy, Jesus-centered church

Bonus Points for:

· Familiarity with Planning Center, ProPresenter, or similar tools

· Some experience with tech/sound (we’ll train the right person!)

· A heart for developing other musicians and worshippers

Details:

· Paid part-time position (10–20 hours/week depending on availability and experience)

· Sunday morning leadership plus weekly rehearsal and planning

· Starts Summer 2025 (flexible for the right fit)

· Reports to the Lead Pastor
